Where did Beren and Lúthien fall in love?
Lúthien is supposed to have been based on Edith Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien’s wife. The first tale she appeared in, The Tale of Tinúviel, was in part inspired by Edith and John Ronald’s forest walks, in 1917, in Roos, England – as Beren first saw and fell in love with Lúthien in the woods.
How old is Lúthien Beren?
The story takes place during the First Age of Middle-earth, about 6,500 years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings….Beren and Lúthien.

Is Beren an elf?
In the first pencilled draft of the story of the Beren and Lúthien, Beren was a mortal Man; but when Tolkien erased it and wrote the “Tale of Tinúviel” of the The Book of Lost Tales, he became an Elf: one of the Gnomes of Dor-lómin, the son of Egnor the Forester.

Description: ‘But wandering in the summer in the woods of Neldoreth he came upon Lúthien, daughter of Thingol and Melian, at a time of evening under moonrise, as she danced upon the unfading grass in the glades beside Esgalduin.
Who killed Beren?
Beren, Thingol, Huan, and other Elves went to defeat the beast. Beren was assaulted by the wolf; Huan leaped to his aid and killed the beast, but died soon afterwards of his wounds. Beren was carried to Doriath, where he died in Lúthien’s arms.

Lúthien Tinúviel was the only daughter of King Thingol of Doriath and Melian the Maia. She was said to be the fairest maiden to have ever lived (a description later shared also by Arwen). She wedded Beren, a mortal man, turning her back on immortality.

Dior and Nimloth were slain during the Second Kinslaying, along with anyone trying to prevent the Sons of Fëanor from gaining the Silmaril. After the attack, the servants of Celegorm left Eluréd and Elurín in the forest to die.
Is Aragorn half Elf?
