What happened to King Agnarr and Queen Iduna?

As it turns out, Queen Iduna and King Agnarr did die, but it wasn’t because they were journeying south. But not before Iduna saved Agnarr’s life, and stowed away with him on his journey back to Arendelle, where they eventually would fall in love and marry.

How did the King and Queen of Arendelle die?

During a storm, they are drowned at sea by monstrous waves. Anna and all the people of Arendelle mourn their deaths (a portrait of the royal couple is draped over with a black sheet of fabric), but Elsa does not attend the funeral.

Are the parents in Frozen alive?
