Is Paarthurnax worth killing?

It most certainly is not necessary to kill Paarthurnax. You can complete the main quest line without killing him. The only reason you would actually want to kill him is if you wanted to be accepted by the Blades(Delphine and Esbern).

What is Skyrim canon?

Main quest and all DLCs are completed in canon, by the Dragonborn. For Dawnguard, which side you partnered with doesn’t really matter honestly. All the Guild Questlines are completed in-canon, so Savos dies, Kodlak dies, Emperor Dies, Nocturnal is appeased and all the guilds rebuild.

How does Skyrim civil war end?

There is no way you can complete the war part of the game without taking a side. There is no such option in-game. The war part between the factions must be completed taking one of the sides and doing the missions.

Is it better to side with the blades or greybeards?

If you want more shouts then side with the Greybeards. If you want an army and abilities to fight dragons better, the Blades. The Blades are the best choice.

Do the blades serve the Dragonborn?

Blades are descendents of Dragonguard, their original purpose, and the one that Delphine is trying to restore was extermination of dragons. They only began to serve Dragonborns because their inborn gifts allowed them to be really good at that task.

Can you end the war in Skyrim without choosing a side?

Yes, it is possible. The main quest is not completely independent of the war, but it does not require your character to take any action to support or oppose either side in it. You won’t need any advice or hints as to how to avoid taking a side; the game will tell you what you need to know when you get there.

Are the Stormcloaks bad in Skyrim?

The Stormcloaks aren’t necessarily evil and there decisions are made from the heart. The whole crisis isn’t black and white that’s for sure and you can’t blame the Stormcloaks for Rebelling because banning one’s God is very personal.
