Is EMDR therapy Christian?

In my EMDR practice, I often run into clients who identify themselves as Christians. Often in the Christian faith, it is taught to simply believe, to trust, have “faith” that God is “out there” and is loving.

Is EMDR spiritual?

We already know that EMDR is an integrative therapy, and has already been linked to spiritual consciousness (Krystal et al., 2002; Miller, 2014; Parnell, 1996).

Can a Christian be a therapist?

Certainly. You have your choice here. You can keep your religion out of your profession and just be a psychologist who happens to be a Christian. Or, you can be a Christian Psychologist, a psychologist who refers to and uses Christian teachings in their work.
