Music is said to enhance intelligence and focus, improve mental health, and boost the immune system as well as self-esteem and confidence. It can be used to relax, to boost and lift our mood, or to improve concentration. Music can also be used to aid in insomnia, helping to encourage and induce a deeper sleep.
Why is K-pop so successful?
K-Pop is not just a music genre. It’s a global phenomenon. The reason why it is so popular is that the idols (K-Pop people are called “idols” in Korea) are vigorously trained in singing and dancing from their childhood. They audition for an entertainment company(SM, JYP..) and join as trainees.

Heavy K-pop addiction not only damages the mental and physical health, but badly influences their academic performance as well. In other words, they keep diverting from their studies, and this leads them to poor academic performance.

Music can boost the brain’s production of the hormone dopamine. This increased dopamine production helps relieve feelings of anxiety and depression.

Neuroscientists have discovered that listening to music heightens positive emotion through the reward centers of our brain, stimulating hits of dopamine that can make us feel good, or even elated. In some cases, music’s positive impacts on health have been more powerful than medication.
