How do you condition cotton rope for bondage?

Cotton, silk, or bamboo ropes should be hand-washed in cold water using a small amount of Rope Soap or a delicates/lingerie wash and hung in loose coils to dry. These ropes may require gentle stretching during the drying period to maintain proper lay of the rope. Cotton, silk, and bamboo ropes should not be oiled.

What rope is best for suspension?

Most suspension uses 6mm or 8mm rope. 8mm is stronger, but 6mm is generally easier to work with. You will need at least one 30′ length of either Regatta Braid or 8mm hemp for your chest line.

The softness makes it ideal for so many projects, especially for something like handrail décor. Comes in a diameter of 1/2 Inch, and is cut to length and packaged in your choice of 10, 25, 50, or 100ft lengths.
