Can we get the grace of God even if we do not deserve it?

Can we get the grace of God even if we do not deserve it?

It is the free gift from God – it cannot be earned –the gift where we receive mercy rather than what we deserve. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it. Hebrews 4:14-16.

How should we respond to Gods mercy?

But the logical response to God’s grace is to offer yourself as a living sacrifice. Paul wrote in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

What does Paul say about mercy?

Paul has shown that God’s choice to give or withhold mercy is not based on either person’s behavior. He is not obligated to be merciful to anyone, or obliged to bless some more than others. Nobody “deserves” mercy, so there is nothing unjust or inappropriate about God’s choice.

What is the relationship between grace and mercy?

In the dictionary, grace is defined as courteous goodwill. Meaning, it’s not asked for nor deserved, but is freely given. Mercy, on the other hand, is the compassion and kindness shown to someone whom it is in one’s power to punish or harm.

Why does God bless us when we don’t deserve it?

There are two main reasons for this: 1- God created us and he always gives and supplies all kind (deserve it or not). 2- The logic of freedom: God blesses all regardless behavior, for what we do is related to our choices.. He created us free, therefore if He blessed us based on our behavior then our freedom will cease.

How can I respond to God?

So, how should we respond to God for what His Son did for us? Jesus displayed His love for us on the cross….Based on what you have just read, consider these three things from Hebrews 10:22-24.

  1. Draw near to God.
  2. Hold fast to God’s faithfulness.
  3. Spur others on to love and good works.

What does it mean to be saved by grace and not by works?

Faith Alone. God’s Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ.

Does God choose who to bless?

Originally Answered: How does God chooses who to bless and who to curse? He is God and He is holy. He blesses the righteous, those who fear Him and love Him, the poor widow, orphans and those who are humble. He hates the proud and arrogant and the wicked.

What is the main message of Romans 11?

Paul is implying that there will come a day of success, when most Jews will accept Christ. Paul believes the majority will be saved — first a remnant of Jews, then a good number of Gentiles, then the majority of Jews, and finally another blessing for the Gentiles — the salvation of the great majority.
