Can Estj understand Infj?

INFJs and ESTJs are very different; though they are both Judging personalities, meaning they prefer to follow a plan, INFJs are reserved, empathetic, and creative, while ESTJs are outgoing, logical, and present-focused. ESTJs should listen to and show empathy toward INFJs, allowing them space to be alone, when needed.

Can INFJs be detail-oriented?

They are both detail-oriented and big-picture thinkers. The minds of INFJs are always busy making sense of information, seeing patterns, forming theories, and creating ideas. However, sometimes they get so caught up in the details of their ideas that they forget about the details of everyday life!

Why do INFJs struggle with details?

As introverts, INFJs prefer their inner world to the outer world. They often find themselves distracted by their own thoughts and ideas and have trouble focusing on what’s going on around them. This is another reason they can often miss details in their environments.

How do INFJs gather information?

Misconception #4 – INFJs Are Psychic The truth is much more technical. INFJs gather copious amounts of information via their inferior function, Extraverted Sensation (or “Se” for short). Se is highly aware of concrete details and activity going on in the environment.

How does an INFJ handle stress?

They’re likely to avoid tension as much as they can, which may lead them to withhold information due to a fear of causing conflict. However, INFJs should recognize the importance of working through issues sooner, rather than later, so they can comfortably share what’s bothering them.

Do INFJs and ESTJs get along well?

INFJs are likely to trust ESTJs who show concern for INFJs’ feelings. INFJs need to feel safe and connected to build lasting relationships. ESTJs will grow to trust INFJs who can be more direct and level-headed; INFJs should also allow ESTJs the independence they need to thrive.

What happens to ESTJ’s when they are stressed?

ESTJs who are experiencing extreme or chronic stress may fall into the grip of their inferior function, Introverted Feeling (Fi). When this happens, their other functions become less conscious and they seem as if they are not their usual selves.

What causes conflict between ESTJs and FP personality types?

This can cause conflict between ESTJs and FP personality types. Because Introverted Thinking runs in the opposite attitude of Extraverted Thinking, the ESTJ’s dominant function, they can misunderstand it or project negative qualities about it onto others.

Why do ESTJs and FPS not get along?

Because ESTJs have inferior Introverted Feeling (Fi), they can risk seeing it as overly-sensitive, useless, time-wasting, weak, or self-absorbed. They may repress this function in themselves or devalue it in other people. This can cause conflict between ESTJs and FP personality types.
