INTPs are likely to feel uncomfortable in very emotional situations, which may cause them to feel too stressed or frustrated to calmly work through the problem, if too much pressure is placed on them. However, INTPs can learn to be more open with and aware of their own feelings through patient practice.

Because INTPs view everything through the lens of logic, they may feel uncomfortable dealing with emotional matters. That includes dealing with other people’s feelings, but especially their own. When someone pressures an INTP to talk about personal or emotional matters before they’re ready, INTPs will hate it.
