Why did Eren say mean things to Mikasa and Armin?

It’s kind of vague, but a lot of people interprets it as Eren wanting to make sure his friends are out of his way so that they wouldn’t be harmed. He pushes them away. Though a part of me thinks that some part of Eren does resent Mikasa a bit, even though he loves her and Armin unconditionally.

Mikasa did exactly that with Eren, giving Ymir the emotional stability she had been craving for millennia to break free. Eren tells Armin that all along it was Mikasa who would bring change, not him. Ymir learnt that the shackles of love can be broken.
