I know alot of people are gonna disagree with me here, but yes seagate barracuda drives ARE reliable. My 3tb ST300DM001-9YN166 from 2011 still works, despite people’s numerous claims that those drives fail “fast”. Mine’s been working fine for 7 years with no issues.
