Can you pass with failing one class?
If you’ve selected to take a course “pass/fail” or “pass/no pass”, rather than receiving a letter grade, then failing won’t be counted into your GPA. However, you will have to retake the class. In most cases, if it’s a course required for your major, you won’t be able to take it “pass/no pass” in the first place.
What happens if you fail 1 quarter?
If you pass one quarter but fail the second quarter of an academic class, you will only need to retake that quarter. If you fail the first quarter in a math class or world language class, you won’t be allowed to proceed to the next quarter. This is because everything in the quarter builds upon the first quarter.

Is no pass better than an F?
Traditional letter grades A through C- become Pass, while D+, D and F all become no pass. Pass classes won’t affect your GPA, but will fulfill requirements and count as credits toward the 120 needed for graduation.

You will not get a credit for a failed math class. To make up for this you can either take summer school (if your district offers it,) or you can sign up for an online class (which I would recommend.) After you have taken the class, you will be required to retake the state EOC if your state requires it.

Can you fail 10th grade?
Grade level in high school is determined by the number of credits earned. Therefore, if you failed all your courses you are probably still considered in 10th. However, you grade level is irrelevant. The important thing is to focus on passing your classes.
Is taking a class pass/fail bad?
While a pass grade won’t harm your GPA, it may not look great on your college transcript, either. Not only that, but pass-fail grades can be a major red flag for students who are applying for an advanced career program like a medical residency.
