Do Norwegians and Finns get along?

Norwegians and Finns don’t have a general rivalry or anything, but like in most scenarios, it entirely depends on the person. Unless the Finn knows Swedish, English will be necessary to communicate properly (if they do not know the other language.)

There is no hatred whatsoever between Swedes and Norwegian. We are only good neighbors with sometimes a brothers and sisters conflict. The situation is pretty much the same between Swedes and Danes and Swedes and Finns.

Can Danes Norwegians and Swedes understand each other?

Mutual intelligibility. Generally, speakers of the three largest Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian and Swedish) can read and speak each other’s languages without great difficulty. Are the Danes the same as the Swedes?

In fact, as Edwin Grosvenor writes, “The Scandinavians, or the Danes, Norwegians and Swedes, Teutonic peoples, are so intimately related in race and history, that, except with frequent repetition, it would be impossible to discuss them separately.” Of course, even though they share a lot of history, things do change over time.
