Who is responsible for our thoughts?
The cerebral cortex, made up of billions of neurons and glial cells, is divided into the right and left hemispheres and into four lobes. The frontal lobe is primarily responsible for thinking, planning, memory, and judgment. The parietal lobe is primarily responsible for bodily sensations and touch.
Do we have control over our thoughts?
We are aware of a tiny fraction of the thinking that goes on in our minds, and we can control only a tiny part of our conscious thoughts. The vast majority of our thinking efforts goes on subconsciously. Only one or two of these thoughts are likely to breach into consciousness at a time.

Subjectively, our thoughts come from nowhere: they just pop into our heads, or emerge in the form of words leaving our mouths. Objectively, we can say that thoughts emerge from neural processes, and that neural processes come from everywhere.

What is the responsibility for thoughts?
Responsibility for thoughts is related with the conscience. Low conscience = low responsibility. No conscience = no responsibility. Responsibility for thoughts is also related with our will power. Low will = low responsibility. No will = no responsibility. Education of young generations should stand on leading them towards responsibility.
Are We responsible for our emotions?
Emotions are reduced to fleeting, unreliable feelings over which we have little control and for which we have no responsibility. In the same way that we do not choose to have a toothache and accordingly are not responsible for having it, it is assumed that we do not choose our emotions and are not responsible for them.
Can We help what we start thinking about?
Humans are constantly bombarded with thoughts. So, sometimes we can’t help what we start thinking, especially in this age of information that is constantly coming in through our senses. But we can choose what to keep thinking about and keep in our brain.
