What do Tolkien’s elves look like?

Elves as a group are often called “Fair Folk.” Elves are pale skinned. Most Elves have dark hair and grey or blue-grey eyes. The Vanyar, the least numerous of the three Kindreds of the Eldar, have blond hair and blue eyes.

Their fate is not of Men, for the Elves sail to Valinor by ship, or die of grief or violence and return to Mandos of Valinor and now no longer return to Middle-earth. They gave up their dominion of Arda to Men.
