How come Kakashi never went blind?

By the time he awakened his MS, his left eye was in Kakashi and thus couldn’t use Susano’o. Since Obito was injected with tons of Hashirama cells when Madara saved him, they gave him Wood Style, and a Mangekyou Sharingan that never went to blindness.

Why did Kakashi wait so long to use his mangekyou Sharingan?

He probably didn’t want to use it because of all the pain in the memories that lay hidden in that Sharingan. It reminded him of the day where both his teammates “died.” Especially Rin since he awakened it after Rin died by his hand.

Does mangekyou Sharingan make you blind?
