How to do it

  1. Sit in a comfortable position with your legs crossed.
  2. Place your left hand on your left knee.
  3. Lift your right hand up toward your nose.
  4. Exhale completely and then use your right thumb to close your right nostril.
  5. Inhale through your left nostril and then close the left nostril with your fingers.

How long should you do Anulom Vilom pranayama?

Instead of counts, you can set time alarms. Start Anulom Vilom Pranayama by doing 12 rounds (4 to 5 minutes in the beginning) and increase it up to 20 minutes. Yogis recommends the practice of anulom vilom is most beneficial in the morning time.
