Which MBTI type gets mistyped the most?

Most likely to mistype as: INFJ Why the mistype happens: Of all the mistypes that happen between any two types in the MBTI, INFPs mistyping as INFJs is by far the most common one – and this is not necessarily the INFP’s fault. INFPs are the least stereotypically perceptive perceivers.

Who mistyped as Infp?

ENFPs
ENFPs (Ne-Fi-Te-Si) often mistype themselves as INFPs, because they are considered to be one of the most introverted types among the extroverts. They also have similar functions to INFPs, except their dominant and auxiliary are reversed.

What types get mistyped as INTP?

The most common personality mistypes for the INTP (in descending order) include the INTJ, INFP, INFJ, and even ENTP.

What are INFJs most mistyped as?

Unless you are hiring a professional it can be difficult to type accurately, and even then it is no perfect science. It requires digging deeper and really understanding the personality types and their variations. INFJs are most frequently mistyped as INFPs, ISFJs, or ENFJs, but even on occasion INTJs.

Can an Enfp be mistyped as an Infj?

ENFPs exhibiting their INTJ stress type could mistype as INFJs simply because they know that they’re missing their natural auxiliary function, of which they’re capable, Fi, so they overcompensate in tests or reflect this when looking at functions.

What types get mistyped as INTJ?

The INTJ is often mistyped as INTP, INFJ, ISTJ and ENTJs. Each mistaken type happens for its specific reasons, and so it is important to understand their similarities and differences so that you can accurately compare them.

Are INFPs often mistyped?

INFPs are frequently mistyped as quite a few other personality types, and so it is truly important to understand how their functions work and how they respond to the world around them.

Can Intj mistyped as INTP?

Main cause of confusion between INTJ and INTP: (Ni + Te) and (Ti) tend to very closely mimic each other when put in practice, that’s why INTJs and INTPs can often mistype themselves. INTPs may focus on acquiring certain skills, but primarily out of curiosity than function.

Can INTP be mistyped as Istj?

The INTP will think their ISTJ is a bit predictable, but they will admire their ability to Get Things Done ™ and appreciate their reliability. The ISTJ is slightly gobsmacked by the INTP’s disregard for social mores, but they are quietly impressed by INTP’s creative problem solving.

Can INFJ be mistyped?

People who identify as INTPs are very often: mistyped ENTPs. For this reason, the ENTP is perhaps the most introverted of all extroverted types, and they mistake themselves to be INTPs in high frequency.

Can INFJ mistyped as INTJ?

It’s no surprise that I mistyped as an INTJ, because these two types share many of the same traits. Also, INFJs tend to mistype a lot. My own theory behind INFJs mistyping as INTJs is based on something INFJs everywhere have probably experienced on some level or another: betrayal.

How do you Decide Your MBTI type?

The standard MBTI is traditionally approached by newcomers in the form of a psychometric questionnaire which assigns one of 16 personality types to you. With no prior exposure to any different concepts, one’s initial type is necessarily decided by an affiliation with a 4 dichotomy system (E/I, S/N, T/F, J/P).

What are the most common types of mistyping?

As you can see the majority of mistypings are magnetically headed in the direction of the four INxx types. A real ESFJ (FeSi) will mistype as an ENFJ (FeNi), and a real ENFJ will mistype as an INFJ (NiFe).

What do the arrows mean on the MBTI?

So an arrow going from ISTJ to INTJ means that the ISTJ (which is analogous to SiTe in CT) tends to type as an INTJ in the MBTI. From there we see that the real INTJs (NiTe analog) will tend to type as either themselves (a circular arrow) or mistype as INTPs. The same applies to the blue arrows, which signal less common trends.

Is it possible to be INFP in the MBTI and CT?

Cognitive Type and MBTI are two separate systems, and therefore the two typing systems may not always cross over, so that being a type in one may have no correlation to any given type in the other. We can rightly say that it’s possible to be INFP in the MBTI and NiFe in CT if we draw no parallel between them.
